What is Granite? Geologically granite is a primary rock that is widely occurring on the earth's crust. It is also
classified as an intrusive & felsic igneous rock. The texture of the rock is medium to course. Occasionally there will
be occurrence of individual crystals larger than the ground mass forming a rock known as porphery.
Usually granite is pink to dark gray in color or even black, depending on its chemical and mineral composition and
petrology. Granite is massive, hard and tough, and therefore it has gained widespread popularity as a construction
stone.
We deal mainly in Indian granite and regularly supply following items processed from granite:-
Random blocks: We have made long term arrangements with quarry owners from various states in India (operating on revenue land or with rights to mine on their own lands) to supply us select random dimensional blocks for re selling or further processing.
Slabs & Tiles: We sell processed granites in compliance with international specifications as well as the domestic Indian market. We have long term arrangements with modern factories to fulfill our processing requirements. We regularly supply granite tiles and slabs in the following standard finishes:-
Polished: The slabs sold by us are mirror polished chamfered and resin coated. These tiles and slabs are processed by us in custom or standard sizes for use as floor coverings, walls, facades and counter tops. We also supply large polished gang-saw slabs in case our buyers or their customers require to customize application on site. Partly polished and honed surface slabs are also available.
Flamed / Flamed & single wire brushed: Flamed granite is mainly for external use. A premium flamed surface is achieved by wire brushing up to the first level to remove the roughness of the flaming process. Tiles and slabs with this surface is an excellent option for outdoor applications and gardens.
Antique: This surface is usually a flamed surface followed by 5 levels of brushing to make it smooth. It is used mainly for outdoor floor coverings in porches and foyers as well as counter tops and granite furniture.
Leather: This is a honed surface granite with full set of aged brushing to give the satin (leather) feeling. It is widely used for counter tops and wall coverings. This surface finish is also known as Satino.
Monuments: Granite has gained tremendous popularity for use in monuments, gravestones and funerary arts. We process
straight line monuments usually with the aid of machines as well as hand processed monuments or a combination of both.
The exposed surfaces of the monuments may be honed, flamed, hand dressed, glacial (gletcherschliff) or in a combination
of more than one surface, usually customized according to customers' requirements.
Road Construction: We produce granite in cobble and slab / tile formats for use as paving stones, kerbstones and hand dressed slabs used by the road construction industry. Normally rough or fine dressed granite thermally extracted as massive slabs is used for this purpose. We have arrangements with quarries using thermal extraction techniques to source our raw materials for this application.
Garden and landscaping items: We produce decorative items for use in gardens and landscaping. These items are produced in any surface finishes available with us or in combination of more than one surface finish. Items are also customized as specified by our customers.
